Crossing the Midline

Crossing the midline is spontaneously reaching a hand, foot, or eye across the body’s imaginary center line to act on the opposite side. It is usually established by around age three to four, alongside a dominant hand. Difficulty with it is one observation occupational therapists use within a broader bilateral-coordination assessment.
