What the badges on a DrSensory listing mean

Every clinic listing on DrSensory is in one of three states. The badge at the top of the listing says which. This page says how each one is earned, what it shows, and what no badge means.

Unclaimed listing

Built from public records

Most listings start this way. The listing says so at its foot, and the clinic cannot edit it until it claims it. A family's message comes to the DrSensory Team, who try to pass it on.

What it shows

  • Name, address and phone
  • The therapy, and the city page it sits on
  • No website, description or photos

How it got there

  • Public records of the clinic
  • Checked for duplicates and dead addresses
  • Carries a Claim this listing link
Claimed and verified

The clinic confirmed its listing, free

The clinic proved it owns the listing and pays nothing. Under the map the listing names the month this happened, and the badge carries the day. If a subscription ends, the listing returns to this state with the clinic's own facts intact.

What it shows

  • The clinic's own name, address and phone
  • Opening hours and website
  • Therapies, ages served and insurance accepted
  • No description, photos or reviews yet

How it is earned

  • A six-digit code emailed to the clinic and entered by it
  • An address at the website's own domain counts as further evidence
  • A new listing's website has to answer and belong to the clinic, and the national provider registry is consulted; a listing that does not pass every check is read by a person before it publishes

Changes publish on demand for the listing's first seven days, then once a month.

✓ Verified clinic

A subscription, with the clinic's own details

The clinic confirmed its listing the same way and subscribed. The first location is $349.99 a year, or $29.99 a month; each additional location is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. The paid parts are kept for twelve months after a subscription ends and return the day it restarts.

What it adds

  • A description in the clinic's own words
  • Photos and a logo
  • Clinician names, credentials and verified specialties
  • Services beyond the discipline, and social links
  • Reviews with the clinic's replies
  • A message form that reaches the clinic's portal
  • “Accepting new patients”

Where it is shown

  • First on its city pages
  • In the clinical pages and the quiz routing for its area
  • Order among subscribed clinics follows the area and whether the clinic accepts new patients, never what was paid

Changes publish on demand for the first seven days, then once a week.

What no badge means

Not a check of clinical quality

No badge says anything about training, outcomes or safety. DrSensory does not assess care.

Not a license check

DrSensory does not look up or hold licenses. Every state board publishes its own lookup, and that is the place to check one.

Not an endorsement or a ranking

A badge says who confirmed the listing and whether the clinic subscribed. It never says one clinic is better than another.

Frequently asked questions

Does a badge mean DrSensory checked the clinic's clinical work?

No. Claimed and verified means the clinic confirmed it owns the listing and its own facts. Verified clinic means the clinic also subscribed. Neither is a check of clinical quality, training or results, and neither is an endorsement.

Does DrSensory check licenses?

No. DrSensory does not look up or hold licenses. Every state publishes a license lookup for occupational, physical and speech therapy; a family who wants to check a license uses the state board's own search.

Why does a claimed listing show more than an unclaimed one?

An unclaimed listing comes from public records, so it shows the name, address, phone and therapy those records hold. A claimed clinic has corrected and published its own name, address, phone, hours, website, therapies, ages served and insurance accepted.

What does a subscription add?

The clinic's description in its own words, photos and a logo, clinician names and credentials, verified specialties, services beyond the discipline, reviews with the clinic's replies, a message form that reaches the clinic's portal, "Accepting new patients", placement in the clinical pages for the clinic's area, and the Verified clinic badge. The first location is $349.99 a year, or $29.99 a month; each additional location is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year.

A listing is claimed by someone who does not own the clinic. What do I do?

Write to hello@drsensory.com with the listing's link. A person looks at the claim's record, the email it was confirmed with and the website, and corrects the listing.
