DrSensory for Pediatric Therapists
What the directory is, what a listing costs and includes, and where an OT, PT or speech practice should start.
- Editorially Reviewed
- Real Prices
- For Clinicians
DrSensory is a directory families use free to find occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy clinics: 3,591 clinics across all 50 states and Washington, DC. Every clinic keeps a basic listing at no cost. Claiming yours and subscribing, at $29.99 a month or $349.99 a year, lets you edit the profile, add your logo, photos and hours, collect and answer reviews, and receive family inquiries yourself in a secure portal. There is no contract, and nothing is charged while you claim.
Key takeaways
- Your clinic may already be listed: basic listings are compiled from public records, and families can find them before you claim.
- Claiming is free and has three steps: find your listing, confirm your email with a six-digit code, choose a password. The subscription is what puts your changes in front of families.
- The first location is $29.99 a month or $349.99 a year; each additional location is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. It is priced per clinic, not per therapist.
- A paid listing adds your own description, logo, up to five photos, hours, reviews with your replies, and inquiries that come to you instead of to the DrSensory team.
- DrSensory does not guarantee rankings, sell your leads or vouch for clinical quality, and says so on its pricing page.
Who is this section for?
Outpatient occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech-language pathology clinics in the US that want more families to find them. The directory lists clinics rather than individual therapists, so one listing covers a whole practice at one address. Inpatient rehabilitation facilities and chiropractic practices are not listed.
It is written for four kinds of clinician, and each needs something slightly different:
| Who you are | What usually matters | Start with |
|---|---|---|
| An established practice owner | Correct details, a complete profile, reviews you can answer | Claiming the listing you probably already have |
| A clinician starting a practice | Being findable from the first week, a small fixed cost, no contract | Searching first, then adding your clinic if it is not there |
| A solo or telehealth clinician | Saying plainly how and where you see families, and who you see | The telehealth, in-home and by-appointment settings |
| A clinic manager who is hiring | Several locations on one account, logins for colleagues, an honest waitlist | One account for every location |
Each row has its own path in Where should you start? below.
What is DrSensory, to a clinic?
A parent-facing directory, free on the family’s side and paid on yours. Families search it for occupational, physical and speech therapy near them, read profiles and send messages. They never pay to search it or to contact a clinic. Clinics pay to take control of their listing and to extend it.
| Therapy | Clinics listed |
|---|---|
| Occupational therapy | 1,297 |
| Physical therapy | 1,751 |
| Speech therapy | 1,416 |
| All clinics | 3,591, in 180 cities |
These figures are counted from the directory itself each time this page is served, so they move as clinics are added. A clinic at one address that offers two therapies counts once in the total and once under each therapy.
The directory sits beside DrSensory’s guides for parents to occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy. A listing does not buy a mention in any of them: DrSensory does not sell placement in its clinical content. Nor is a listing an endorsement. DrSensory does not verify clinical quality, and says so on every results page.
How does a DrSensory listing work?
Claim it, activate it, then answer the families who write. Claiming costs nothing; activating is the subscription; inquiries arrive in your portal.
- Claim. On Claim your profile, search for your practice by name, address or phone, tick every location you run, and confirm your email with the six-digit code it sends. Choose a password of at least 12 characters, then set up two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app. Nothing is charged.
- Activate. Start a subscription from Billing in the portal. Fill in the listing editor, preview the page, and publish. A published change appears on your profile in about a minute, and you can publish once every seven days.
- Receive inquiries. When a family writes from your profile, the address you gave as your email for family inquiries is told that a message is waiting. The message itself is read in the portal, not sent by email, because what a parent writes about their child is health information. You reply from your own address.
Every screen of the claim, and how to make the profile worth finding, is in How to claim and optimize your DrSensory profile.
What does a DrSensory listing cost?
$29.99 a month or $349.99 a year for the first location. Each additional location is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year.
| Locations | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|
| First location | $29.99 | $349.99 |
| Each additional location | $9.99 | $99.99 |
| Two locations in total | $39.98 | $449.98 |
| Three locations in total | $49.97 | $549.97 |
- Per clinic, not per therapist. Listings at one address are one clinic and cost one price, even when the clinic is listed for occupational, physical and speech therapy.
- No contract. Cancel at any time. Your listing goes back to a basic unclaimed entry rather than disappearing.
- Yearly costs less. Twelve months on the monthly plan come to $359.88; the yearly plan is $349.99, which is $9.89 less.
- Nothing is charged while you claim. The account exists first; you pay from inside the portal once you have looked around.
- Featured city placement is not part of it. The pricing page shows it as coming soon and priced separately from the listing.
Whether that price pays for itself depends on your numbers, not ours. Are paid directories worth it? has a calculator for cost per new patient at this price, or at any directory’s price.
What does a paid listing include that a free one does not?
Control and contact. A paid listing is the same page made yours: you correct and extend it, families can review you, and their messages reach you.
| On your profile | Free (unclaimed) | Paid (claimed) |
|---|---|---|
| Your own profile page, open to search engines | Yes | Yes |
| Name, address, phone, map and directions | Yes, from public records | Yes, kept current by you |
| Listed on DrSensory’s city pages | Yes | Yes, above unclaimed listings |
| Service and condition tags | Matched from the words we hold about you | The ones you tick in the portal |
| Description | Ours, or “We do not have a description” | Yours, up to 1,200 characters |
| Logo | No (a letter stands in) | Yes |
| Photos of the practice | No | Up to five |
| Opening hours, or “By appointment only” | No | Yes |
| Accepting new patients, typical wait, telehealth, access notes | No | Yes |
| Website link | Where we hold one | Yes, the address you give |
| Reviews from families, and your replies | No | Yes |
| Messages from families | Go to the DrSensory team, who pass them on | Come to you, in the portal |
| Label | “Unclaimed listing” | “Verified listing” |
| Other nearby clinics listed on your page | Yes | No |
| Details given to search engines | Name, address, phone, website | Adds your logo, photos, hours, description and, once you have reviews, your rating |
“Verified” means the practice took a subscription and confirmed its own details. It does not mean DrSensory checked its clinical work.
What will a listing not do?
It will not guarantee rankings, create demand that is not there, or vouch for your care. Be wary of any directory that promises otherwise.
- No ranking promise, on DrSensory or on Google. Google says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking.1
- No traffic promise. DrSensory publishes no figure for how many families will see or contact a profile, and this page will not guess one.
- No endorsement. A listing means a practice appears in the directory, not that DrSensory recommends it.
- No sold leads. Inquiries go to your practice and only to your practice.
- No search-engine credit from the website link. The link from a paid profile to your site is marked as sponsored, as Google asks of paid links.2 It sends families to you; it is not a backlink for ranking.
Where should you start?
Search for your practice first. Your clinic may already be listed, and claiming an existing listing keeps the page families may have found. Then follow the path that fits you.
If you own an established practice
- Search Claim your profile by practice name. If nothing comes up, try a shorter version of the name, then your phone number.
- Tick every address you run, so all your locations sit on one account.
- In the editor, do the basics, therapies and ages first: the therapies you tick decide which condition and service tags you are offered, and ticking 18+ adds the adult ones.
- Write the description in your own words, then add your logo and up to five photos of the space.
- Publish, and ask families for reviews the honest way: everyone, with nothing offered in return.
If you are starting a practice
- Search anyway: the directory is built from public records, not from who has signed up.
- If you are not there, tick “my clinic is not listed yet” and add the location. Nothing is published until you subscribe, so you can fill it in before you open.
- The monthly plan lets you test the listing without a year’s commitment. Run your own numbers through the cost-per-new-patient calculator first.
- Set up a Google Business Profile as well; Google does not charge for one.3
If you work solo or by telehealth
- Tick “We offer telehealth”. Your profile then says “Offers telehealth appointments”, and the Telehealth tag can go under How we work.
- If you visit families at home, tick the In-home visits tag. If you see families only by booking, tick “By appointment only”: the profile says so where opening hours would be, so nobody turns up at a door that is not open.
- Say in your description which ages you see. A practice that sees only toddlers, or only teenagers, saves a family a wasted call by saying so.
If you manage a clinic that is hiring
- DrSensory is not a job board. A listing helps families find your clinic; it does not advertise vacancies.
- One account holds every location. Each location after the first is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year.
- The account has one more login than it has locations: two for one clinic, four for three. Every login can edit, publish and reply.
- When a new therapist frees up capacity, change “Accepting new patients” and the typical wait. Those two lines are what a family reads before deciding to call.

Frequently asked questions
Is my practice already listed on DrSensory?
Possibly. Basic listings are compiled from public records. Search the claim page by practice name, address or phone, and try a shorter version of the name before deciding you are not there.
Do I have to pay to be listed?
No. Basic listings are free and stay up whether or not you claim. The subscription is what lets you change your listing, collect reviews and receive inquiries yourself.
Is the price per therapist?
No. It is per clinic location: $29.99 a month or $349.99 a year for the first, and $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year for each one after. A clinic listed for more than one therapy at one address pays once.
Can I cancel my DrSensory listing?
Yes, at any time. There is no contract, and the listing goes back to a basic unclaimed entry rather than disappearing.
Who reads the messages families send from my profile?
On a paid listing, your team does, in the portal; the email you receive only says a message is waiting. On an unclaimed listing, the DrSensory team receives the message and passes it on.
Does DrSensory list clinics that see adults?
Yes. The editor has age bands for 18 and over and 65 and over, and ticking them adds the adult conditions, such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease, to the tags you can choose.
Will a DrSensory listing improve my Google ranking?
No one can promise that, and Google says rankings cannot be bought.1 A paid listing gives you a profile page you control, with your details, hours and review rating described to search engines.
Is a Verified listing an endorsement?
No. Verified means the practice subscribed and confirmed its own details. DrSensory does not check clinical quality, and every results page says so.
