Background

Nicole began her counseling career in 2010 at an outpatient center serving people with severe mental illness and substance use. She moved into private practice in 2012, and her work deepened around trauma therapy, EMDR, faith-based counseling, and therapy with children and families.

In 2016 she hired her first therapist, turning a solo practice into a group practice built around expanding access to care in the Las Vegas and Henderson area and supporting therapists at every stage of their careers. reTHINK Therapy's specialty areas are trauma therapy, faith-based therapy, and therapy with children and families.

In her clinical work, Nicole tailors her approach to each client's goals, with a consistent focus on helping people understand their thoughts and feelings about their experiences and manage them productively.

Why this matters for DrSensory

A significant share of our audience is navigating the overlap between sensory processing and mental health — parents trying to work out whether a child's avoidance is sensory or anxiety, adults managing sensory overload alongside anxiety, families weighing therapy options where both are in play.

That content sits outside the scope of a physical therapist or a dentist. Rather than publish it under a credential that doesn't fit, or publish it with no clinical review at all, we brought in a clinician licensed to review it. Nicole's practice spans anxiety, trauma, and work with children and families, which covers the areas where our sensory content most often meets mental health.
